Backpacking or Motorcycle Riding: Serpa Blackhawk Retention holster in a cross-draw style with two Kydex mag pouches mounted on a Moly harness with an integrated front nylon breastplate. Great backpack rig as the backpack waist strap impedes access to a gun. A second Serpa Retention Holster that uses your waist belt with another dual Kydex paddle-type two-magazine pouch. I like this setup for light day hikes where the gun is immediately accessible and in rough terrain where bushwhacking can pull a gun from the holster or odd climbing body angles. Serpa prevents the gun from being removed without actuation of a paddle.
The Glock 43 features a smaller grip and is often a good choice for women. It is very lightweight for concealed carry and backpacking. Glock’s perfection and reliability that you can trust with you’re life. There are three magazines, with two being the OEM mags, and the third has an extension for a capacity of 8 + 1. I have run this 8+1 Magazine (Glock Store purchase) from the day I got this gun, and I have never had a feeding or any gun malfunction. I have tested various ammo from Self Defense to Range and never had a hiccup. The base plate is silver on the extended mag, but I wrapped some Gaffers tape around it for better concealment. This Glock 43 has only shot high-quality brass, never steel. It has Talon grips, granulated black wrap, and slide grips. The side of the grip facing the body was reduced to avoid irritation to the skin, and an SG rubberized coating was applied. You can quickly return to OEM grip by peeling Talon grips off. The grip as set up is excellent in cold or hot weather with sweaty or cold hands. I upgraded the Mag release as I was not fond of the hard-to-use OEM release. I upgraded the slide stop for one that can be indexed more quickly.
The rest of the gun is Glock stock because I don’t change essential internals for a carry gun. Total invested $1155. I prefer to use an FFL for transfer and will pay the cost. I’ll accept a Utah Concealed Carry Permit. I want to ensure it’s in the hands of a law-abiding good American. Bill of sale provided and will need your Utah driver’s License and compliance with Utah State law.
